Kolkata Knight Riders will face the Kochi Tuskers after having convincingly beaten Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad.
With 5 more matches to go in the group stages, KKR only need to win 2 more to secure a berth in the playoffs.
With Pathan's incredible 47 off 26 balls against the Deccan Chargers, KKR now has the final cog in their wheel. Gambhir has continued to play his role of a batsmen and the skipper brilliantly, leading from the front with his batting and some inspired saves in the field as well. With the bowling attack all teethed with the fear-inspiring Lee and the duo of Pathan and Abdulla in their element, KKR hardly has anything to worry about.
While Kochi will be relieved to have beaten the Delhi Daredevils comfortably, KKR will harly be a cake-walk. However, Kochi will have to look beyond McCullum who has been the mainstay of their batting lineup and has helped them clinch 2 of their 4 victories. Though Jayawardene and Jadeja have contributed occasionally, they will need to be far more consistent if they want to reach the playoffs. RP Singh, Jadeja and Murali have barely looked like match winners when they each have tremendous skills. On the brighter side, RP Singh has been miserly with his bowling even if he has not been amongst the wickets.
This match will be a treat to watch, with now title-contenders KKR facing the unpredictable, but big-match-winners Kochi tonight.
Will the Tuskers repeat their Delhi performance or will KKR enact its revenge?
